Anton Lubowski Memorial Lecture

You are invited to the second annual Anton Lubowski Memorial Lecture celebrating the life of anti-apartheid activist and advocate, Anton Theodor Eberhard August Lubowski (3 February 1952 – 12 September 1989).

The Memorial Lecture is presented by Stellenbosch University‘s Development and Alumni Relations Division, in partnership with the Law Maties / Maties Regsgeleerdheid and Simonsberg Manskoshuis / Men’s Residence.

In accordance with the time in which we find ourselves, this year’s lecture will be hosted online. Please join our speakers, Judge Dennis Davis, Prof PumlaGobodo-Madikizela and Dr Ismail Lagardien as they discuss the topic Social Justice, Quo Vadis – Is Social Justice happening?

Our moderator is Max du Preez, editor of Vrye Weekblad, author, commentator and friend of the late Anton Lubowski.

More on our speakers:
Judge Dennis Davis is a well-known jurist, academic and media personality.
Prof Pumla Gobodo-Madikizela is a psychologist and holds the Research Chair in Studies in Historical Trauma and Transformation at Stellenbosch University.
Dr Ismail Lagardien is a prominent author and commentator.
